“As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:1-2 NIV
I am hungry for life beyond blog posts,
further than the books and brands and the boosts to our knowledge base.
Now don’t get me wrong
I am grateful for these tools and the creator and promoter of many of them. As you are, and as we will continue to be.
But I am more hungry for what they are intended to lead us to.
To more of the substance that is tangible and tasteful, full of what my soul craves.
A table set by intention, with attention to every detail because it hasn’t been curated for a false version of me, but prepared by the only One who really sees me as He formed me to be.
Yes.
Get me a seat at that table overflowing, seated with friends, brothers, sisters in this growing…ever…closer.
A table set before enemies that have already been defeated.
Conquered by the blood shed of the One whose food was to move in what He saw His Father do.
His moves setting off the thirst in us to see more of that too.
In Us.
Through Us.
Despite Us and our limits.
Yet through Him, our efforts made eternal and infinite in their impact.
Allowing us all to taste and see that God is and always will be inexplicably, irrevocably, all together GOOD.
