Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

Genesis 2:7

Let’s think about this even more.

God started us with breath.

The Holy and divine filling our lungs with the presence of Himself. Sealing our value with the kiss of his eternal inspiration. The air of his essence permeating our lungs and sending supernatural oxygen into every part of our DNA, marking us forever as His.

Formed.

Created.

Chosen.

The presence of the living God, bringing life and animation to simple clay.

Sparking our hearts with the imprint of the divine. He reached down to kiss us and release in us inspiration.

We are no more than dust and clay if we are without his breath in our lungs. What he declares over us is the fuel that we need to keep in motion our movements. We must breathe in deep of the song God sings over us. Take in the melody of the master artist so that we can set a rhythm that sends ripples all around, shifting atmospheres and cutting off roots where they are found.

What in your life this week needs the breath of God on it?
