“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven. A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 NIV
Every single season matters and is part of the ebb and flow of life.
Some are more comfortable than others but all are necessary.
When we diminish someone’s ability because they may be in a valley season or a wilderness season or maybe a work-at-home mom season or working full-time season or struggling with an issue season, whatever it is, we don’t allow them to fully engage in what God is trying to do during that time.
Remember that after God the Father declared who Jesus was during His baptism, the Holy Spirit is the one who led Jesus to the wilderness.
What would that look like in this day and age? Would we think Jesus was struggling? Would we say that he was trying to isolate himself?
He was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tested and to encounter the love and provision of the Father. So when we discount where we are, we miss out on what God is trying to do in our lives right now.
What treasures are contained in this season for you?
