Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. John 12:3 NIV

When we know who we are in Christ, operating out of our identity and out of the overflow of intimacy with Him, the things we do are not just born out of our abilities.

They are anointed supernaturally to bring shifts in the physical but also pierce the spiritual realm.

I believe it’s the Lord’s desire and it should be ours too, to not just bring physical change into a situation but for there to be eternal impact in what we do.

Are you carrying anointing that will affect generations to come and the generations within your spheres of influence?

Have you been around the Anointed One so much that what is on Him rubs off on you?

When Mary poured the oil on Jesus, her worship was so extravagant that the oil naturally remained on her too.

The fragrance also spread to those in the room, her sphere of influence.

They then had to come to grasp with their own surrender, their own hearts of worship or lack thereof. Mary’s act released something to Jesus that automatically released back on her. This is the beauty of abiding, of remaining.

What does extravagant worship look like for you?
