It’s been a minute.

My one month sort-of-break from posting and blogging within Milk & Honey Women, turned into two months of trying to get back into rhythm. It can be hard to do as we all process how life has shifted and the things that used to be second-nature that are a bit more complicated than we are used to.

Not to mention, for my family, mixing in a cross-cultural life that was already full of learning, transition and daily challenges. But also lots of fire and ice fun. Your girl had to get herself together and remember where she is anchored.

And so, here we are.

If you have followed along with me for a bit, you know that identity really matters to me. This focus came out of me constantly trying to perform and prove myself, even to God.  I allowed the fear of man to prioritize DOING over BEING.

This distinction matters because knowing who we are  in Christ anchors us. It gives  humble confidence over insecure pride. We remember how well we are loved, therefore we don’t have to lean on others to affirm us first. I like a pat on the back, but that can’t  be my source. I don’t ever want to be hindered from obeying God because of my worry about other people’s opinions, especially my own. I have to be anchored.

Milk & Honey Women grew out of that desire to encourage others in that same way. To remind women that they are daughters  of God through Christ and can approach him boldly (Hebrews 4:16). That they don’t have to tiptoe around their call. That they have permission to release their fragrance of worship  (John 12) through every area, no matter how insignificant it seems. So. My goal over the next few months is to remind you of that more consistently through:

  •  Weekly Instagram Live or Videos devo.
  •  Weekly email from jennyerlingsson.com
  •  Monthly Email magazine from milkandhoneywomen.com
  •  Invitations for YOU to submit blogs,  resource ideas, businesses, nominations, and other content for email magazine, website, and future books.
  •  Resource recommendations and giveaways.

When I was a Jr. High pastor several years ago, I loved putting together quarterly magazines for our young teen girls. I thought it would be fun to do that again for YOU. Many of you signed up for my email list after checking out Milk & Honey Women online, from reading one of my books, or hearing me speak. Thank you for hanging around and connecting.

The hope is that the monthly email magazine, this website and future books will be full of your words, experiences and encouragement. Women cheering each other on from that Christ-Centered place. So if you are new here don’t forget to sign up for our email list and I look forward to all that God continues to do through how we gather here.

In a world that seems to have turned on its head, I am reminded that these are the moments we were made for. To lean in, submit to Christ, and be the women He’s called us to be.
