Statement of Faith

JESUS CHRIST-CENTERED

My prayer is that if you do not know Jesus at all or you don’t know Him that well, His kindness will lead you to repentance

and to a new beginning with the promise of eternal life.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Hebrews 12:2

Jesus endured the cross in obedience to the will of Father God and with you in sight.

You were the joy set before Him. His desire was to see you reconciled to the Father and He found joy in the fulfillment of that relationship. Jesus came as a second Adam, the last Adam, to make right what went so terribly wrong in the garden. And in another garden, He kneeled to pray and once again submitted His will to Father God. Where the first Adam, son of God, disobeyed and ate of the tree, Jesus, a type of second Adam, the true Son of God, obeyed and placed himself on a tree of a different kind. With it He placed all the sins of humanity past, present and future on His shoulders, becoming the ultimate sacrifice.

Jesus took on the entire wrath of God that should have been placed on us. The blood He shed trumped the blood of every spotless animal that was placed on the altar and with it our sins were washed away. When He died the curtain of the Holy of Holies in the temple was ripped open from top to bottom. Again, God bursting out to embrace humanity, giving a way back to himself if we would choose to accept His gift. And then on the third day He rose again with resurrection power, finalizing victory over death, hell and the grave. He gave us the ability to have relationship with the Father through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and promised a home with the triune God forever in eternity. This is good news!

Other Foundational Verses

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins. He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.” Ephesians 1:3-8 NLT
